What Would You Do,
If Jesus Christ Was to Walk Into Your Room?
Most of us would probably freeze. Maybe we’d be terrified, like the disciples were when they saw Him walking on water (Matthew 14:26). Or maybe we’d feel completely unworthy, like Peter, who once said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” (Luke 5:8). Some of us might have a million questions tumbling out at once—about life, about pain, about why things are the way they are.
But if you look at the stories in the Bible, Jesus always met people where they were. He didn’t come with a list of demands or a lecture. He offered peace: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you” (John 14:27). He listened. He loved. He forgave, even when nobody else would.
If Jesus walked into your room, you could drop every mask. You wouldn’t have to pretend you have it all together. He’d know every fear and every failure—and He’d love you anyway. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest,” He promised (Matthew 11:28). That invitation stands, no matter how messy life gets.
Here’s the truth: Jesus might not show up in flesh and blood, but He’s already with you. He promised, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). His presence is real, even if you can’t see Him. You can talk to Him, right here, right now. He’s not waiting for you to get your act together—He’s just waiting for you to let Him in.
CLOSING PRAYER
Thank You for reminding us that you are always near, even when we can’t see you with our eyes. Help us to welcome your presence into our lives every day. Give us the courage to be honest with you, to bring our worries, doubts, and hopes before you, just as we are. Fill our hearts with your peace and guide us with your love. Teach us to recognize your voice and trust that you are with us, no matter what we face.
We ask for your strength and your comfort, and we thank You for the promise that we never walk alone.
In Your holy name, Amen.``
